Personal Life of Ersan Ilyasova

Ersan Ilyasova was born on 15 May 1987 in Eskisehir, Turkey. He is currently 35 years old. He is 6 feet 9 inches in height and weighs about 235 lb. He was born to Crimean Tatar Anwar and Iraliye Ilyasova. He is a Muslim and has Turkish nationality.

Presently, he is married to Julia who was born in Belarus. The couple has two daughters and one son and their all children were born in Milwaukee.

Professional Career of Ersan Ilyasova

Ersan Ilyasova started his career as a basketball player in 2003 by playing for YeÅŸilyurt in the Turkish second division league. Then during the 2004-05 season, he stepped up to the Turkish basketball league with Ãœlkerspor. After that, he was selected by the Milwaukee Bucks with the 36th overall pick-up of the 2005 NBA draft. In July 2005 joint the box for the 2005 NBA summer league and then he was assigned to the NBA development league as well.

On 1 November 2006, He made his NBA debut for the Bucks. Then on 18 July 2007, he signed for a 2 year deal with FC Barcelona, and after that deal in 2009, he won a championship with Barcelona.

Then on 3 August 2011 he signed with Anadolu Efes of the Turkish basketball league and then in December 2011 he returned to the Bucks again. Then during the 2015 and 2016 seasons, he played for the Detroit Pistons. On 16 February 2016, he was traded to the Orlando Magic in exchange for Tobias Harris, and then again on 23 June 2016, he was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder in exchange for Serge Ibaka.

Then during the 2016-17 season and the 2017- 2018 season, he played for the Philadelphia 76ers and Atlanta Hawks respectively. Then again from 2018 to 2020, he signed with the Milwaukee Bucks.

Recently, in 2021 he signed with Utah Jazz for the remainder of the season. On 22 December 2021, he signed a ten-day contract with the Chicago Bulls. But he entered the health and safety protocols of the NBA on December 28 and thus did not play for the team until his contract expired.

His National Team Career

After leading the junior national team of Turkey to a silver medal in Izmir, he was named the MVP of the 2006 FIBA Europe under 20 championships. Then he played for the senior Turkey National basketball team. Since then he represented Turkey at several championships including the 2016 FIBA World championship, EuroBasket 2007, EuroBasket 2009, 2010 FIBA World Championship, EuroBasket 2011, EuroBasket 2013, and EuroBasket 2015.

He won several awards and championships for his performance in basketball matches.
